Free Legal Service, Top End - Northern Territory

TOP END WOMEN'S LEGAL SERVICE Inc (TEWLS) was created under the Commonwealth Government's Access to Justice program in 1996. TEWLS is funded by the Commonwealth Attorney General's Department to provide legal and referral services to the women of Darwin and is a member of the National Association of Community Legal Centres.

TEWLS provides free legal advice, community legal education and advocacy on issues of importance to the women of Darwin and surrounding areas.

TEWLS provides legal advice in most legal areas, with the exception of immigration and commercial matters. We do not draft wills. TEWLS also provides a free referral service for women.

FREE legal advice sessions are held in Palmerston on Mondays and at our office in Darwin on Wednesday evenings.
